The County has now sent out an update on the FDCF program as well as a waiver to sign and send in. Do not feel obligated to agree to the second signature for media release. I do not believe this is a requirement for participating in the FDCF. They are also planning a meeting for everyone during the winter months ahead.
If you haven’t signed up it will be a County requirement to belong to the FDCF in order to perform any trail maintenance and/or trail construction in the future. There is no commitment to the amount of time required and you can opt out at any time if you wish.
If you are interested please click the link below for more information from the County website. This is open to all users and it will be great to have a cohesive group from all user groups working together as a team.
From the County:
“The County has recently established the Friends of the Dufferin County Forest to assist in various aspects of the management of the County Forest.”
