Friends of the Dufferin County Forest Meeting

The County held it’s first FDCF meeting on Thursday night. What a great turn out! Our County Forest Manager estimated there were about 40 people in total that attended. It was a great “meet and greet” and the County supplied refreshments and snacks (and cool vests as well as lots of other goodies!). There was lots of good discussion and positivity during the evening. It was a great experience having all user groups gather together to show support for each other, the County, the Recreation Policy and most importantly, to display our love and appreciation for the Forest. There were members from several social cycling groups and from several equestrian groups represented. I’m sure that moving forward all these groups can provide support for each other when the need arises. Thanks to everyone that came out and to all others that have signed up but couldn’t make the evening and most importantly, to the County for allowing us the privilege of enjoying the County Forests.
