As previously noted, Oct 14th we will be celebrating all the great people that continue to volunteer their personal time to build, maintain, clean up and rebuild after logging, leaf blow, trim back vegetation and groom for Fat Biking in both DCF and MOC. The number of hours that are spent out there on trails is unbelievable and continuous.
So let’s all come celebrate!
Mansfield Outdoor Centre will be hosting this celebration and will be having their Open House and Hops in the Hills Festival on this day as well.
Entry will be free and will include use of the MOC facility, trails and access to the Hops in the Hills Festival. The trails will be open from 10am-5pm and there will be live music from 12-5pm. 12-1:30 will be Woody Woodburnhttps://woodywoodburn.ca/music and Full Rolling Boil https://www.facebook.com/fullrollingboil/ will take the stage at 2pm. A fully stocked bar by MOC will include a variety of Craft Beers, Ciders and non-alcoholic beverages. (Duntroon Cyder, Mono Centre Brewery, GoodLot, Collingwood Brewery & Sap Sucker). There will be a MOC BBQ and Chilli for food choices (both bar and food for purchase).
Fall riding is beautiful at MOC & DCF. The leaves will be in full colour at that time and the excellent drainage solves any concerns with wet trails. MOC will have the entire MOC trail network freshly leaf blown for your enjoyment.
MOC has been pushing ahead with building new trails, continuously adding in new features and trail enhancements (with no sign of slowing down on these projects) so if you haven’t been there in the past month there are new creations waiting for you to enjoy.
Just added will be a fund raising Raffle which will be cash donation based (pay what you can) that will have an amazing set of prizes generously donated by our supporters. All funds raised will be put exclusively towards the volunteer efforts, maintenance and Fat Bike grooming of the trails in Dufferin Forest. There has already been a great amount of impressive prizes donated. We’ll provide more details soon.
