Weekend Ride & Current Leaf update

Hey Gang! A bit of rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday (just a small % and amount). So we are planning ride for Sunday at 2pm @ MOC.

The leaves have been falling fast! Trails now have some leaf coverage for sure but still lots still in the canopy. We are waiting until they are all down, then we planning a big leaf blowing session out of MOC. TVG & MOC plan on blowing all the leaves off of the trails that will be groomed for Fat Biking this winter. So 35km’s combined between MOC & DCF trails.

It’s likely that the leaf dropping will be done by the end of next week, so the thought is to get a big group of blowers out next Saturday (November 2nd) and do this in one shot. It will be organized out of MOC, with several leaf blowers supplied and rented plus use of the MOC truck to dispatch and co-ordinate efforts throughout MOC & DCF. We’ll be looking for 8-10 folks who are willing to pitch in and go for a walk with a blower. Lunch will be provided by the Pine River Cafe at MOC. If you are interested in helping, please send a note thought the CONTACT tab, or how you know to reach us or MOC (direct message through Instagram at @moctrails will also work). Once we are done, it will be awesome to have 35km’s of sweet singletrack buff and clear with the kaleidoscope of leaf colours on the Forest floor. Lots of great Fall riding still ahead….Nice!
